Governance

Réalta is governed by a Board of Directors.

Their service on the board is voluntary or unpaid. The directors and executives place a high value on governance standards. Arts and Health Ireland CLG t/a Réalta is fully compliant with the Charities Regulatory Authority’s Charities Governance Code a code of practice for good governance of community, voluntary and charitable organisations in Ireland. We are also committed to complying with the principles of good fundraising.

Legal and Charitable Status

Arts and Health Ireland t/a Réalta is a registered charity: CHY 22990. As a registered charity,  Réalta is exempt from Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Deposit Interest Retention Tax under Section 207, Taxes Consolidation Act, 1997 and from Corporation Tax for certain trading activities under the same section. Réalta is authorised by the Revenue Commissioners to operate the Donation Scheme for tax exempted donations to Charitable Bodies (Section 848A, Tax Consolidation Act, 1997).

Réalta is registered as a charity with the Charities Regulatory Authority (Reg. No: 20206446). By virtue of the Charities Act, 2009, the directors of the company are deemed to also be charity trustees.

Financial Statements

Arts and Health Ireland CLG t/a Réalta keeps detailed books and records of accounts and maintains strict financial controls. It is transparent in all its financial affairs. Each year, it prepares detailed Financial Statements for the previous calendar year. Review our recent financial statements:

Réalta prepares financial statements in accordance with FRS102 “The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland”, applying Section 1A of that Standard, issued by the Financial Reporting Council.

Staff and Management

Arts and Health Ireland CLG t/a Réalta, has six direct employees, one part-time HSE administrator and currently three Community Employment Scheme participants. See Our People for more information on our team.

Réalta welcomes comments and feedback and also undertakes to deal with any complaints. Make a comment or a complaint:

Réalta will look into your complaint within 30 working days of receiving it. Should it take us any longer to look into all the issues raised in your complaint, you will be notified with an update on what is happening. If you are not satisfied with the recommendations made or the way the complaint was dealt with, you will be directed to the Chairperson of the organisation.
